Description
We have a Technics ST-8600 AM/FM Tuner. We haven't used it for a while. It's been in storage for about 6 years. We plugged it in, hooked it up and it works well. We left it run for several hours without any problems. The tuner stays true to the station. It sounds wonderful with our speakers. It seems like it works great on FM stations. We only got one AM station due to limited availability in our area. This is true for every radio we own.
We're not into the technical aspects of vintage tuners. It appears that everything works. All the knobs, etc. are there and original. The glass front is original. The case is in pretty good shape, with a few minor surface scratches and a tiny chip on one corner (see photo). The veneer is nice and tight. I tried to take good photos so you can clearly see the condition.
We're selling it in “as is” condition with no returns. Feel free to ask questions before bidding. I found the information below from the radio museum website, which might be useful.
We'll ship via UPS. Keep in mind that this unit weighs 44 pounds.
