Description
Nice classic Sony tuner listed here... from my own working collection. I used this tuner and the matching amplifier (TA-313, available in a separate listing) in my work office for a few years before remote working put that to an end - my home office is already stuffed with Tandberg and Sony ES whole-house systems so these are the odd man out.Note: this listing is just for the tuner, the TA-313 amplifier in the pictures is not included, has been sold already.
I was very taken by the industrial design on this series originally, and have also found them to be solid, reliable and decent-sounding components. It may not be an iconic series but it is quite appealing both visually and functionally.
The tuner has an interesting blend of analog and digital functionality and a somewhat unusual method of marking preset stations. Everything is working well, I did an alignment on the tuner after acquiring it but it has rarely been used since then - I normally had other sources feeding the amplifier since FM signal in the office was marginal at best. There are a few nicks in the cabinet cover but the face and controls are cosmetically excellent as is the tuning dial - overall a very presentable little tuner.
Buyers, please note my shipping practices as follows:
This auction is set up to reflect
actual shipping costs
, with
no
handling charges.
I make every effort to find and use the lowest cost shipping method appropriate for your item, and refund surplus shipping paid whenever possible.
Please remember that selecting the
lowest cost shipping
method also
results in the slowest delivery
- please do not leave low detailed seller ratings because of this fact! If you need the item faster, Priority Mail is a better choice.
Please contact me if the shipping method you want is not offered in the listing. If that service is available for the particular item, I will revise & resend the invoice.
I am not a full-time eBay merchant, but an experienced vintage audio enthusiast. I put many hours into supporting my customers and listings on eBay but am fitting all of that around a very heavy full-time work schedule. However, I always do my best to ship within the guidelines posted in my listings.
In the case of larger items shipped overseas, USPS Priority is currently the lowest cost service available. DHL & UPS are much, much higher. I will use First Class Mail International where possible but it has a weight cut-off of 4 lbs. There is no longer a surface shipment option, as USPS eliminated Surface Parcel Post last year.
I use recycled packaging materials when I can, because I believe it is the environmentally sound thing to do.
I also use new USPS Priority & other packaging materials to supplement the recycled materials where appropriate.
I’m always very careful to make sure the item being shipped is properly protected regardless of the type of packing materials used.
Please note that 4 star ratings while seemingly above average do not qualify me as an excellent seller by eBay's standards.
Please keep the above in mind when you leave feedback.
If you feel you cannot leave 5 star Detailed Seller Ratings, please contact me
so I can resolve whatever issue you may have. Thank you for viewing my listing!
