This listing covers a complete Restoration and Alignment of your stereo receiver. Tube or Solid State. This assumes a basically sound unit that can be aligned and/or repaired. If for some reason your unit is determined not suitable for alignment, or you don't want to repair it, you only pay a 90.00 bench fee + return shipping. Tuner alignment is not easy and unless your tuner is properly aligned, you are not hearing its true potential. Out Dual Sweep alignment ensures minimum distortion and maximum sensitivity/Selectivity.The Alignment includes:Clean and lubricate tuning capacitor.Tube Units: Clean all tube sockets and clean with Deoxit D5.Check bulbs. Tube units: Check all tubes on an Amplitrex AT-1000 tester.  Bad tubes replaced at extra cost. Check for basic operation and note any bad parts. Customer is alerted to what, if any additional repairs are needed. Align RF front End, Local Oscillator and Mixer for proper dial alignment and maximum sensitivity.Align IF stages and discriminator for minimum distortion and symmetry with a Sound Technology 1000A Dual sweep generator.Align Stereo MPX for minimum distortion and maximum separation.Check for drift , sensitivity and tuning accuracy. The price does not include tubes, bulbs, extra repair parts (other than those included in the service) or return shipping or packing if a new box is required. If you have just purchased a Receiver have it sent to us for a complete alignment  and Restoration.
With this service we replace all Power supply components as well as all audio capacitors. We check for out of tolerance resistors and notify you if they need replacement. Nothing is overlooked.
Have your receiver checked thoroughly and restored. Please double box it and ship it to us insured. Remove the knobs on the glass front panel. We will return it to you in your packaging. If your packaging is damaged, or we deem it not fit for shipping, there will be a nominal charge for packing (we use the UPS store for packing), so make sure you packing is rugged. Shipping is only a place holder, since it is required by EBay. Actual shipping will be given to you depending on the make and model of your tuner.
