Harman Kardon Citation III Tube FM Tuner with 2 Telefunken 12AX7

Harman Kardon Citation III tube tuner is among the very best tube tuners made for sensitivity and Selectively.  This Model III is the mono version with output for outboard Multiplex.
For my own listening experience with all tube tuners, I prefer mono for NPR news, as all multiplex stereo decodes would bring in some kind of unnatural artifacts in the stereo mode.
I paid top dollars purchased this tuner from someone who has not used it for almost 4 decades.  I used a VariAC to raise AC from 50VAC to 105VAC then to 120VAC.  It started to have signal from 105V AC, as the signal meter would move up and down with the dial turning.
I bought two tubes from ebay for this tuner, the tubes are included in this lot with tube boxes.
So, the tuner started working.  I opened the back cover and replaced one electrolytic cap and one output cap, the sound then became much better.  I will include the original two caps in a zip bag in case new buyer would want them.
There are several more vintage caps that can be replaced and upgraded, I have not had time to tweak it further.  The balanced meter for tuning does not move at this moment, I would think further replacing caps would bring it back to working.
So this Citation III tube tuner is being listed for parts/restoration.  Please check all photos in detail and ask questions before the purchase.  What you see is what you will get in the shipment.  No cage as it was sold during vintage time without cage(surprising, but true) for buyers to install into furniture grade tube console(popular during vintage time).
No return for this for parts item.
Note: two Telefunken 12AX7 tubes are included in the original tube set.  I tried to use some cheap russian tubes from my tube preamp and found the newer cheaper Russian tubes(not included) would have slightly higher volume.
Again, no return, sold as described, for parts and restoration.
