Heathkit AJ-43D Transistor AM-FM, FM Stereo Tuner, works great & very nice!.
This Heathkit AJ-43D Transistor AM-FM, FM Stereo Tuner is invery nice condition and works great. I have been a Heathkit fan since the ‘60s and love these tuners. I bought this on Ebay a while ago to use to fix my own AJ 43. After fixing it, I fixed this tuner as well. I like the C and D version of this tuner because it has a much better FM IF strip. When I got it, it had a trashed wood cover with the back end ripped out. I rebuilt the case and overlaid it with a new veneer: It looks beautiful now. I also aligned the AM section, FM section and the FM stereo demodulator using instruments. The stereo demodulator board has also been recapped. It works great now. This will look great next to an AA 21 matching amp. Or any other amp for that matter!
Unfortunately, I am selling it because I am moving out of state and cannot take it all with me. Sad!
