Sansui Vintage PR-330 Tube Tuner Preamp from 1950 Gray and Black
Hello for those of you that know this is the companion tuner/preamp to the Famous HF-V60 Amplifier Witch I do not have this Auction is Only for the PR-330. I got this in 2003/2004 and it has always been a good reliable unit. Over all it's in decent shape for it's age, I do not have the power cable for it, However you could change the 6 pin Cinch plug on the back to a newer type with all 6 pins facing the same way you'll need both the male and female plugs to get the job done, Just make sure after you replace it you plug it in correctly and not up side down witch I've seen people do before as long as you know what your doing you'll be fine. I can't find the 4 screws that hold the top cover on ether, But I thing there 1/4" hex head X 1/2" long any hardware store will have them. The bottom cover is missing as well when it was sold to me it was not with the unit. All of the tubes are still in it and before I ship it I'll remove them and pack them separately. Before this sells I'll bring it up on my variac, However I would suggest that the Main filtering capacitor be replaced it's going on 71 years old now and I'm sure it's time to replace it. Looks like a Quad of 10 MFD at who knows 450 Volts. The Schematic or wiring diagram is on the inside of the top cover it shows me the MFD but not the voltage I can use a mirror and find out if you really want to know what the voltage is. I was only able to load 12 pictures but if you need or want more massage me and I'll send them to you. There is one component that is not original and that is the American looking resistor across the filter capacitor when it came to me it was in there and I just left it because I could never find one that was an exact replacement. This unit will be packed really well I'll use 2 boxes bubble wrap both of them inside and out remove the tubes and box those separately wrapping each one separate and stick fragile stickers on the out side of the box and use Fedx home delivery service. But As with all Vintage Electronics this item is being sold AS IS with no returns.
