A beautiful and sonically impressive vintage audio tuner, lovingly refinished in a dark Cherry Wood color! The Yamaha CT-810, is spin-off from CT-7000 (a super sophisticated audio component which spared no expense when released) and uses this advanced tuner technology to achieve ultra low distortion natural sound.
Spinning the CT-810's large, beautifully weighted knob is a wonderful tactile sensation, completely absent from so many late-era button operated tuners and receivers.
The CT-810's front end circuitry and components pick up the most distant, low signal strength stations with surprisingly high signal to noise ratio, excellent stability, and rejection of all forms of interference. This pays off in a much wider choice of stations, and greatly increased listening enjoyment.
And not even powerful local stations can seriously overload the CT-810, so that reception is uniformly good in any area.
The front end keeps the incoming signal clean and clear of external interference, and the IF stage is specially designed to prevent internally generated spurious signals from degrading quality.'
This unit has been fully-tested and pulls in stations strong and clear. The lights on the main dial all work, as do the signal strength LEDs. The lights on the two meters do not light up. There are a couple 'vintage patina' 'pencil' marks of a previous owner's favorite stations above the dial, which could be easily erased with a magic eraser.
Simply put, the Yamaha CT-810's sound is warm and wonderful, as only a vintage hi-fi unit can fully achieve.
